FASCINATING (09 Aug 2009)

I’ve always found it fas­ci­nat­ing how one thought trig­gers another and your mind dredges up a past expe­ri­ence. Is it because you need to become aware of it again for a rea­son, or is it a ran­dom thought?

It hap­pened again this morn­ing, as I was hav­ing my morn­ing tea while sit­ting by the win­dow look­ing out at the tree­tops and clouds. And this is what I was reminded of:

I had just fin­ished tak­ing the Silva classes (this was in the mid­dle 70’s). I met some inter­est­ing peo­ple. One woman, Alice had just started a Sun­day evening lec­ture series to intro­duce peo­ple to the local psy­chics, crys­tal ball gaz­ers, tealeaf read­ers, medi­ums’ etc. She had con­tacted a famous psy­chic from out of state to hold a series of lec­tures. Because I had sev­eral spare rooms while my sons were off at col­lege I wel­comed the psy­chic as my house­guest. Another oppor­tu­nity for me to spend time with an inter­est­ing person.

The psy­chic con­stantly demon­strated her abil­ity by pick­ing up other people’s thoughts and shared her impres­sions with me. Was she on tar­get or was she try­ing to impress me? She shared her past expe­ri­ences on how she solved crimes, and found miss­ing chil­dren when the police came to her for assis­tance. I was fas­ci­nated as I lis­tened to her suc­cess­ful track record.

Sun­day evening I took her to the meet­ing place where she would be giv­ing a lec­ture. As we entered the hall, peo­ple were already seated. She looked around for a moment. I sensed she had picked up on some­thing that was agi­tat­ing to her. She furled her brows as we walked up to the front of the room. When we sat down she turned to me and asked, “Do you know the man seated on the aisle seat? He is the one with the silver-rimmed glasses.” I turned to look and I did not rec­og­nize him as one of the peo­ple that attended the reg­u­lar Sun­day evening ses­sions. “He is going to burn his place of busi­ness for the insur­ance money,” she softly whis­pered. “How do you know that?” I asked. “I smelled smoke as we passed him.” she responded. “Find out who he is. When he sets his place on fire let me know; I’m keep­ing a record of my cor­rect pre­dic­tions she explained.

“Oh no,” I gasped. “When we sense some­thing that would be destruc­tive or jeop­ar­dize anyone’s safety we must do every­thing to avoid or stop it.”

“What do you mean?” She looked as if she was weigh­ing my response. “We tele­path­i­cally send a mes­sage to the per­son remind­ing him that there may be reper­cus­sions if he car­ries out a deed that may cause harm to some­one. I’ll explain later,” I sug­gested, as the meet­ing was about to begin.

Dri­ving home that evening I explained to the psy­chic what hap­pened while I worked with Jose dur­ing his classes, which he taught in Dal­las. One of the stu­dents in class was the man­ager of a fast food restau­rant. That Sun­day night, after class, the man­ager went directly to his place of busi­ness to count his week­end receipts for a Mon­day deposit (This was a time when places closed at 10 p.m.)

He found his office safe had been pried open and was empty. He called the man he had left in charge and was told that he had indeed locked the safe. In fact, another employee had been present when they closed. Next, he called me in a panic and requested I call Jose imme­di­ately and ask him who stole the money.

“Boy, if he can tell me who did it, I’ll get the police and have the per­son arrested. Think of all the pub­lic­ity Jose will get.”

“I’m pretty sure I know who the thief is,” he told me when I asked if he had any idea who he thought it might be.
“I hired a cook two weeks ago and for some rea­son I don’t trust him. I’ll bet that he is the one who stole the money.”

I con­tacted Jose and told him what had hap­pened. Jose’s solu­tion to every­thing that came up while I worked with him always sur­prised me.

“We don’t need to prove we are psy­chics, nor do we need any pub­lic­ity. We need to help right a wrong for this sit­u­a­tion. Get in touch with your Cot­tage Group and tell them to project this to the thief: ‘The money you took does not right­fully belong to you. Please return it.’ I, too, will be pro­ject­ing for its return,” he assured me.

I had an agree­ment with the stu­dents that attended the weekly Cot­tage Group ses­sions that when­ever there was an emer­gency we would con­tact each other for sup­port. The twenty or more peo­ple would send heal­ing energy or tele­pathic mes­sages if nec­es­sary. I got busy on the tele­phone and called three peo­ple. They in turn called oth­ers until every­one of the group was con­tacted. I then called the man­ager and told him what Jose sug­gested. I also told him to men­tally con­tact the thief and ask him to return the money. He sounded dis­ap­pointed, but promised he would not call the police until the fol­low­ing morning.

Mon­day morn­ing shortly after 8 a.m., I had the call that made my day. It was the man­ager, “Mrs. Had­sell, I just arrived to open the store. I always use the back entrance, and when I opened the screen door two brown paper sacks full of money were between the doors. The amount of money was more than what we usu­ally take in on week­ends. How did Jose know that this would happen?”

“You are going to have to ask him when he comes to teach the next class.”

When we hung up, I con­tacted Jose and the Cot­tage Group to tell them the good news. The man­ager still thought the cook was the thief. How­ever, the cook was at his shift the same morn­ing and acted as if noth­ing hap­pened. Our project was to have the money returned, and it was accomplished.

Why am I telling you this story that hap­pened so many years ago?

Per­haps it is because I remem­ber the psychic’s expres­sion when I related this inci­dent to her. She came instantly wide-awake; like some sixth sense brought her fully alert. Sud­denly the first birth pangs of the idea twinged in her brain and she shook her head in agreement.

“Why did I never real­ize that I should tele­path­i­cally send thoughts of encour­age­ment, or offer­ing a solu­tion when I picked up thoughts of someone’s inten­tion of doing harm? I can see why Jose is such a wise per­son and why you speak so highly of him.”

HEY! I just got the answer why I felt the need to share this story with you this morning…because we all need to be reminded that when we see, wit­ness or are told about some­one or some­thing that is neg­a­tive we should not give it any more neg­a­tive energy. Send out pos­i­tive energy for a pos­i­tive solution.

Did you know that the more pos­i­tive your thoughts are the more insight­ful you will become. A calm, con­tent feel­ing will sur­face when you real­ize what life in the phys­i­cal is all about. You will find your­self becom­ing more of an observer and your under­stand­ing of peo­ple will take on a new per­spec­tive. It will also remind us that we are all here to learn about our­selves as we evolve. We are all ‘Gods in the mak­ing’ as the say­ing goes.

I never thought of deal­ing with sit­u­a­tions in this man­ner, but it makes total sense. Besides fret­ting over some­thing that has neg­a­tive energy attached to it is soooo drain­ing at times. This story is so very true! I learned this many years ago and use it daily on every­thing and every­one. You will be sur­prised how things turn around. When my hus­band lost his job out of the blue, I kept think­ing that “this is a very good thing” and “we’ll be shown what to do” and pretty soon we were pre­sented with a won­der­ful busi­ness oppor­tu­nity that has been not only lucra­tive but also fun! As a hyp­nother­a­pist I found out a long time ago that our lives fol­low our most pre­dom­i­nate thought. So we all have choices on what type of life we want. Need­less to say, it came from a sim­ple prayer when I turned every­thing over to God. Pos­i­tive thoughts are won­der­ful, so I don’t dis­agree with that, but putting all of your trust in people’s “so called” pow­ers (with­out God) leads to destruction.

Dear Hellen; the rea­son why peo­ple expe­ri­ence this kind of neg­a­tive sit­u­a­tions like being kid­napped or steled (this has hap­pened to my mother one month ago)is becuase of hav­ing neg­a­tive thoughts?
Since I am study­ing the Law of Attrac­tion I some­times feel fear­full, over­whelmed of all the neg­a­tive siu­a­tions I can cre­ate becuase of myself. Con­trol my thoughts and being pos­i­tive all the time is a dif­fi­cult task for me and besides make me fell more depressed and fearfull.

Enjoyed your story. amaz­ing at some point in my life I too were able to read peo­ple after a few emo­tional let downs in my life, I became bit­ter, and now I find my “negitive“thoughts are in play I wish it, and it happens.I call them mis­for­tunes. After about 20 inci­dents I began wish­ing good for­tune on those. But it’s not as much fun as being deivi­ate. But it still worked, I found I just wasn’t as satified..Weird ahh.

I did a sim­i­lar thing recently with the two Amer­i­can jour­nal­ists who were being held in North Korea. I just pic­tured them safe and sound and walk­ing down the plane steps into the arms of their fam­ily. That is exactly what hap­pened. It was won­der­ful to wit­ness it on tele­vi­sion exactly as I pic­tured it in my mind. Thank you for your emails — I always find them very uplifting.

Last night was a night of con­tin­u­ous prayer for every­one i have ever met and every face I asked for bless­ing for each of them. I recall doing this at another time but this was more pro­nounced in that even when I had awak­ened to go to the bath­room the prayer resumed ask­ing for help for those that was hun­gry and jobs for those who did not have one and for doors to open for oppor­tu­ni­ties for those seek­ing and plain answers to ques­tions asked by chil­dren and adults alike. This is a most inter­est­ing way to deal with a solu­tion to some­one con­tem­plat­ing harm; how­ever, there was a group of you who sent this pos­i­tive thought to this man. Could this idea work as well if you are the only one in your entourage who believes that you can send tele­pathic thoughts to others?

I know of a father who took sex­ual advan­tage of his daugh­ter who was drunk because her mother had died and she could not deal with it. His daugh­ter was dou­bly dev­as­tated after this inci­dent. He refuses to admit he did any­thing wrong. Could I use this method some­how? What should I say?

Tracy, it sad­dens me when peo­ple who pro­fess faith show that so much of it is blind. Jesus was not God the Father. Jesus WAS our first exam­ple of a human, with God, reach­ing his full poten­tial. Jesus him­self quoted the scrip­tures that say, “Ye are gods,” (John 10:34) and Jesus stated that he didn’t have all of the knowl­edge (Mark 13:32) or the author­ity (Matt. 20:23) of the Father. Jesus had no desire for peo­ple to idol­ize him as they do today, for he denied even being good (Luke 18:19). God the Father gave us power, author­ity, domin­ion, and poten­tial, and for most of humanity’s his­tory we have been despis­ing that birthright. Jesus took it up to give to oth­ers, doing the will of the Father, and led oth­ers to do the same. I see no one here blas­phem­ing God or Jesus, which would be for­giv­able even if they were (Matt. 12:31–32); nor do I see any­one blas­phem­ing the Holy Spirit (which I believe to be good­ness, the name [author­ity, char­ac­ter] of God that is not to be taken in vain).

What is it about send­ing out pos­i­tive energy through writ­ing that gets “reli­gious peo­ple” want­ing to go all neg­a­tive? It never fails. So maybe Tracy needs to have every­one who reads your story and the com­ments remem­ber­ing to send her some pos­i­tive thoughts. See­ing as nobody here is even hint­ing about unseen pow­ers com­ing from any­where but God. She’s even say­ing so although it’s a strange way to go about being positive.

A won­der­ful, uplift­ing and inspir­ing story Helene. A ques­tion now arises. Can we each, act­ing alone (not par­tic­i­pat­ing in a group) also help oth­ers in need? What if the per­ceived prob­lem and peo­ple involved is huge?

For exam­ple, I am par­tic­u­larly struck by the cur­rent sit­u­a­tion in Amer­ica, whereby the great phar­ma­ceu­ti­cals are report­edly doing great harm to the peo­ple of your coun­try by cre­at­ing and sell­ing med­ica­tions and treat­ments that are known to carry harm­ful effects and are so out­ra­geously expen­sive that many peo­ple either can­not afford them any­way or are finan­cially ruined when they use these in good faith and in desperation.

I have also read that although many peo­ple have health insur­ance, they are often shocked and appalled to find that it does not cover or even some­times include, the costs of the treatment/s they require. Some of these peo­ple have lost their homes as a result. and are also left with severe ongo­ing health dif­fi­cul­ties with­out any hope of any out­side assistance.

This is truly a black sit­u­a­tion on many fronts of respon­si­bil­ity. The phar­ma­ceu­ti­cals, the insur­ance com­pa­nies, some­times even the med­ical com­mu­nity are involved in this ill-treatment of the pub­lic. I will qual­ify that by say­ing that it is prob­a­ble and pos­si­ble that many indi­vid­u­als involved in these activ­i­ties are bliss­fully igno­rant of what they are involved with. Many of the med­ical com­mu­nity for exam­ple have been trained to trust in the treat­ments they are prescribing.

I am not black balling all med­ica­tions for in cer­tain cir­cum­stances they can help a per­son to recover suf­fi­ciently that they are then able to edu­cate them­selves so as not to con­tract the ill­ness, dis­ease, etc that has inflicted them. And I do believe that many of those involved in the med­ical com­mu­nity are work­ing with the high­est of intentions.

Last but not least, the peo­ple them­selves have a great need to be edu­cated as to what food, thought and activ­i­ties have a pos­i­tive affect on their health and which do not.

The final respon­si­bil­ity for per­sonal health then becomes that of each and every per­son, with per­haps the excep­tion of those who are injured in seri­ous acci­dents. We all need to take respon­si­bil­ity and to address our own per­sonal addic­tions and weak­nesses and to not be so inno­cently trust­ing of the adver­tis­ing and hype put out in var­i­ous forms of media.

Finally, I am not an Amer­i­can and do not live in the USA yet I have much con­cern over what I see occur­ring against and around Pres­i­dent Obama in oppo­si­tion to his cur­rent Health Reforms. Is there any­thing your group can do to help in this sit­u­a­tion? The pres­i­dent needs help and pro­tec­tion and wrong doers need to be per­suaded of the dam­age and mas­sive, mas­sive hurt/s they are inflict­ing upon their own peo­ples as well as this man, Barack Obama.

Prayers are needed for all on this planet earth and I ask that we each do what we can every day by send­ing out love, light and peace and always to be aware of how our thoughts, words and deeds may be affect­ing others.

Helene, your com­ments on this blog and your sug­ges­tions, will be of great inter­est to me, as I hope that one day we can all live in a bet­ter world than the one we are cur­rently experiencing.

I am deeply grate­ful to have ‘attracted’ you into my life. I’ve always been fas­ci­nated by the top­ics such as the sub­con­scious mind and intu­ition and the past two years I’ve been learn­ing more about the energy ‘dance’. Such a won­der­ful story, and just what I needed to hear. For as long as I can remem­ber my fam­ily has had the worst luck in every­thing we do, to the point of won­der­ing if we are cursed. From finances to health and love. I believe in pos­i­tive thoughts, and I try to use pos­i­tive think­ing every day. It has got­ten harder and harder to do over these past few years and now, I am not so sure I can think pos­i­tive any­more. I am going to try it again, and please if any­one does read this, think pos­i­tive for me, as I will be for you!

Thank-you Helene, You are a real inspi­ra­tion to all of us. We do not real­ize the power we pos­sess! When we are down we really can be effect of things but when we are up there isn’t any­thing we can­not do if we set our minds to doing it. Espe­cially when we feel good Spiritually,emotionally and phys­i­cally. Most of all it feels so good when we get out­side our­selves and help oth­ers. That is the most reward­ing gift of all.

Thanks Helene, It is really an inspir­ing story, it’s also true that when we are in a neg­a­tive sit­u­a­tion, we tend to focus in the neg­a­tive con­se­cuences and thus will give it more strenght.
My last 18 months has been a series of bad expe­ri­en­cies, one after one, I’ve been deal­ing with a daily bat­tle of pos­i­tive thoughts against the neg­a­tives ones, it’s really a real war con­stantly.
I’m recruit­ing my pos­i­tive sol­diers from every­thing I have in my life, appre­ci­at­ing all the beauty and good things I do have, this over­power the neg­a­tive ene­mies.
The war still here, but I know at the end, we the pos­i­tives, will win.

So won­der­ful for peo­ple like you to con­cen­trate of being pos­i­tive. Since I have been read­ing books like “The Secret” and of your lessons, I have been able to man­age life so much eas­ier. Your books and lessons have led me to read­ing many sim­i­lar type of books which have made life so much more mean­ing­ful and eas­ier. These read­ings have, believe this or not, made me more curi­ous of God’s Word. So I do finally believe in We’re all of One.

Good thoughts to all of you! Please keep me in your good thoughts too. I agree with V, and want to remind every­one what Jesus said: “heal your­selves!” That’s what I try to do since so many doc­tors only want to hand out more pre­scrip­tions. Also Jesus might have meant the same thing: be more pos­i­tive– have a lit­tle faith! Makes sense doesn’t it? I’m try­ing to have more faith and be pos­i­tive and get rid of any traces of doubt, with ALL your help. You’re in my prayers.

It is very true, that if you change your thoughts from neg­a­tive to hap­pier thoughts, it does work!!! I too live on a lim­ited income. Just last month I wasn’t sure if I would have enough money at the end of the month, if 1 more check was cashed there would’ve been no money in my check­ing. I kept a pos­i­tive atti­tude, I knew it would be alright, I believed it. It worked!!! I know pos­i­tive thoughts do work we just have to remem­ber to use it more often and believe!! I’m send­ing pos­i­tive thoughts your way Bet­tye. Just keep say­ing, “I’m going to be alright, I’ll get through this.” Change your thoughts to pos­i­tive think­ing, you are needed. You just don’t know how. Just like me, I don’t know how yet either. But I know very soon God is going to let me know, because of what is hap­pen­ing today. I have a feel­ing this is why I was given a sec­ond chance in LIFE!!! Fight for the Unborn!!!!! HAPPY THOUGHTS TO EVERYONE!!!

Every thing that you say is true and this helps you a lot. But when you are around neg­a­tive peo­ple it is hard to sense these things. For the neg­a­ti­vaty that you are around the less your senses works.

What a won­der­ful story. I really beleive in this phi­los­o­phy and try to live it. The Uni­verse has given my hus­band and I another oppor­tu­nity to prac­tise , but this time it is harder. Last week, a cougar killed our deloved pet dog we had for 9 years, and we are deves­tated as you can well imag­ine and I keep try­ing to see the “pony is this pile of manure” and hon­estly beieve there are no accidents.

I have been have an immense amount of neg­a­tive energy in my life recently. My rela­tion­ship with my hus­band and one of my sons has been so hor­ri­ble that this morn­ing I was actu­ally con­sid­er­ing fil­ing for divorce. I spent sev­eral hours in the wee hours this morn­ing pray­ing to God for guid­ance in what to do. I have not read my email for weeks, and I sud­denly felt drawn to do so. I almost just deleted every­thing so I didn’t have to plow through 151 emails, but some­thing about the sub­ject line of this page’s thread caught my eye. I know now what to do. I had for­got­ten these sim­ple but true prin­ci­ples, and I know God led me to find the answers here. I want you to know how incred­i­bly grate­ful I am to you for post­ing these mes­sages free of charge. In this day and age we come to expect that every­one is “in it for a buck”, and I real­ize how bit­ter I have become. It will be a focused chal­lenge to return to my native cheery and pos­i­tive dis­po­si­tion, but when I do, I give all the credit to God for lead­ing me here, and to Helene and Kate for this mes­sage of peace, truth and love.
