As I was pag­ing through one of the many jour­nals that I kept after I took the Silva Men­tal Train­ing classes in the early 70’s, I came across so many per­sonal expe­ri­ences that I’d like to share some of them with you. The fol­low­ing is one. I’m sure some of the inci­dents you can relate to; some you may want to research on your own.

We formed groups and met weekly to review what we were taught. Our main inter­ests were in the heal­ing arts… detect­ing abnor­mal­i­ties on our men­tal screen and con­cen­trat­ing heal­ing energy to those areas. The stu­dents reported their suc­cesses and we were elated. But many times the pro­jec­tion of send­ing energy was not last­ing. That’s when I learned that when one sends energy for any pur­pose the energy dis­si­pates after 72 hours. (I learned this while in Rus­sia after I met with heal­ers from all over the world.)

After I became aware of this infor­ma­tion, it was sug­gested we should only send energy for a person’s high­est good. And this is what I have been doing since. But I don’t know what they are meant to learn or expe­ri­ence in this lifetime.

One Tues­day after­noon I received a phone call from a woman request­ing that we send heal­ing energy to her brother. He was only 32 years old and in the hos­pi­tal with stom­ach can­cer. She told me that her church mem­bers met nightly pray­ing for his heal­ing and that he did show signs of improve­ment. She felt that if we included him in our energy cir­cle he would be healed. After tak­ing his name to include him at that night’s meet­ing and get­ting her phone num­ber I informed her that I would like to keep in touch. That evening when the stu­dents pro­jected him on their men­tal screen we all learned some­thing. They were given his first name and age and they were to sense what his prob­lem was. We then would dis­cuss what we picked up about him.

He tele­path­i­cally let us know that he did not want any more energy or prayers and that we were hold­ing him back from leav­ing his body. When we asked why he wanted to die at such a young age he replied, “My time in the phys­i­cal is done. I came to teach respon­si­bil­ity to my fam­ily and it has been accom­plished. Now leave me alone.”

The next morn­ing I intended on call­ing his sis­ter to tell her what we learned, but she con­tacted me first. “Mrs. Had­sell I had a most dis­turb­ing dream last night. My brother appeared in a dream and told me to please stop pray­ing for his heal­ing because the energy was hold­ing him back from leav­ing his body. So take him off of your heal­ing list,” she requested.

Since that time I will only project energy for a person’s high­est good. And now you too are aware that when we project energy it lasts 72 hours. At this stage of my life I have no more needs but still have a few wants. When I project energy for a want I stip­u­late that it mate­ri­al­ize only if it is for my high­est good.
