I’m hav­ing trou­ble deal­ing with the dis­ap­point­ment and the obvi­ous unfair­ness (the best were voted for, but sym­pa­thy won out over qual­ity). How do I get over these feelings?

I’m in Beverly’s boat right now. Used to win all the time. Now it’s barely a sin­gle prize/contest win in a cou­ple of months.

One of the more recent con­tests, I fol­lowed the exact rules/regs. One entry per per­son only; & you had to sub­mit a healthy recipe using the prod­ucts of the pro­moter and sub­mit a photo of the com­pleted recipe. (You could look at the other entries — and only one other per­son out of over 650 entrants — also sub­mit­ted a photo. The other entrants stated what they were doing to eat health­ier — noth­ing about using the prod­uct being pro­moted). One prize per month was being given away to only those who entered dur­ing the cur­rent month. The month I entered, there were only 8 other entries — and NOT one sub­mit­ted a photo or a recipe using the promoter’s prod­uct. Because I fol­lowed the instruc­tions to a “T” I just KNEW I’d be a win­ner that month — and nothing.

Same with another very recent mail-in con­test. It was a 5-day con­test — and I took my entry right to the post office on the 2nd day of the con­test. The post­mark would deter­mine if your entry made it in time. (Which mine did). Because the time­frame was so short, I fig­ured I’d have a pretty good chance. Once again, nothing.

The ques­tions that I addressed were the des­ig­nated replies. Even though the answer was not exactly how I would reply. I have tried to be just one step ahead of the take back man all of my life. I have always been just one pay­check away from bank­ruptcy. Now with the econ­omy going down every day and my invest­ments have gone from not mak­ing a lot to not hav­ing any money left in my invest­ment or to invest into.
Not that I have been waste­ful or not able to man­age my money its just that if I make a dol­lar more gas goes up two dol­lars. Just behind enough not to quit but hope that tomor­row will offer a bet­ter day.
I have tried the lot­ter­ies and games of chance and if I have twenty dol­lars to loose I loose twenty dol­lars. I never go into a game of chance to loose and try to have a pos­i­tive mind set in I can win as much as there is there to win.
If there is a way to win I sure do need to know what it is and if its have a pos­i­tive mind set I should have won thou­sands of times before.

I truly believe in your SPEC strat­egy and it would work when our mind gets under the con­trol of our Inten­tion. To reach that con­trol I under­stand the breath­ing tech­nique would help by free­ing us from anx­i­ety, depres­sion, etc. Then, with a ‘free mind’ our Inten­tion will make our goal come true at the des­ig­nated time. It is work­ing, but partially.….for exam­ple, I play Fantasy5, and I only assert two win­ning num­bers fre­quently, the other three, I per­ceive then wrongly. Why our mind does inter­feres with wrong answers when we know we are in the stage of relax­ation and feel­ing free from those neg­a­tive emo­tions? I have lis­tened to The Law of Attrac­tion many times, I am a man of great faith in God’s word and his promises, trust that he is the true one that is in con­trol, but I may be lack­ing still in other areas. I think that was before you came up with SPEC, which is the enhanced ver­sion of name it and claim it. I have no dif­fi­culty visu­al­iz­ing or liv­ing the “as if” prin­ci­ple. I’m so com­pletely con­vinced I’m a win­ner that I’m shocked to find out I’m not. I’m stymied as to why I have still never won any­thing big. I even have the intu­ition of when it will be a “win­ning day” for the lot­tery jack­pot. I play, sure enough the jack­pot is won, but not by me! One week when I played I won $10, bought back more tick­ets, won $7, bought back more tick­ets, won $2. Then I didn’t win any­thing after that! How could I be SO CLOSE yet still lose? It’s very frustrating.

For those of you who keep say­ing you are “dis­ap­pointed” or frus­trated because you didn’t win a par­tic­u­lar prize or sweepstake.…please go back and re-read Helene’s book. There are no fail­ures or losses, only delayed response! Dis­ap­point­ment is a waste of pre­cious (pos­i­tive) energy and will only increase the “delay”. It’s sim­ple really — like attracts like and dwelling on what you didn’t win nat­u­rally brings an even greater LACK of wins!

My advice is to avoid focus­ing on the “how” (i.e. a spe­cific sweep or con­test) what­so­ever. Yes, find ones that offer prizes you want to win, but focus your energy only on the end result (i.e. the money or car or trip, etc) — not on the sweep­stake itself. I am a firm believer in this recipe for win­ning and I am fol­low­ing in Helene’s foot­steps as a result: I have won more than 100 dif­fer­ent sweep­stakes (includ­ing 2 major trips) in a lit­tle over a year. Some­day I may just write a book on win­ning of my own!!

I have done it all. With my whole being I believed. I med­i­tated for a month that I would win the lot­tery jack­pot. My med­i­ta­tion was from the quan­tum level all the way to med­i­tat­ing the uni­verse. I med­i­tated about that day, the day I had won the lot­tery jack­pot. I printed out the direc­tions, any nec­es­sary paper­work, and got my ticket ready so the next day I could just take my paper­work and ticket and go. I ABSOLUTELY KNEW THIS WAS MINE. When they called the num­bers and I found out some­one else won, I was in com­plete shock. I just sat there and didn’t say any­thing for hours. I had no thoughts run­ning through my mind at all. I felt numb. I have no idea what I have done wrong and to this day I feel like that was my jack­pot. Helene if your out there, can you tell me any­thing? I am at a loss. I don’t know what to do. This is absolutely the only thing I want and I still want it but I don’t want to go through this again.

I have your books and videos, I love them and often try to reread them. They go on trips with me, so that I can get the info in the 20th and 21st time to stay put. Basi­cally I am a pos­i­tive per­son and have a hard time deal­ing with neg­a­tive peo­ple, and I do win at least on an aver­age of one thing per week in my sweep­stakes hobby (not all big prizes, but use­ful ones). My ques­tion and what I’d like to see you talk about more is “exactly how you put your energy into focus­ing on the one big prize you want to win. Is it that you just search out every sweeps that offers that prize and enter like crazy?” I have nat­u­ally been able to focus on some things in the past and found that I won the prize, just a sorta feel­ing I got when I put the entry slip in or read the sweep­stakes, but there are other prizes that I truly want even more (like a car — it’s been on my Wish­board for­ever) and I can’t seem to pull it in. It’s more than likely not the “right” model for me yet.

It is a com­pletely dif­fer­ent per­cep­tion to what I am nor­mally acus­tomed to. It´s like cre­at­ing in the mind and then really expect­ing and believ­ing it is alredy here, here and now. Now being the key word.

I love the sim­plic­ity of “SPEC” — how­ever I’m now devour­ing any­thing I can read on the con­cept of “release”, or “sur­ren­der” once my goal is cho­sen, pro­jected & then expected. To con­tinue to work on the ‘expectation/ visu­al­is­ing’ angle, can for me sub­tly seem to work against the ulti­mate out­come, as it can mean I’m not accept­ing it’s real­ity, so I’m still “work­ing” on visu­al­is­ing this to rein­force any ‘unbe­lief’ — hence my curios­ity & inter­est in the con­cept of ‘releas­ing’, prior to the win, as an indi­ca­tion of full accep­tance. There is a draw­ing for a mil­lion dol­lars twice a week by spin­ning a wheel. One day a lady gave me 200 tick­ets. I took this as a oman of such that at the next draw­ing I would win for sure. I love your atti­tude! I pur­chased and read your book and watched the DVD’s. I believe in and use the SPEC sys­tem. I won a $5000 ATV from pur­chas­ing a $20 raf­fle ticket. I won a door prize at a lun­cheon. I repeated my name sev­eral times right before they drew my name from the hat. The lun­cheon I was obvi­ously present at and I drove by the ATV many many times “say­ing: I am going to win that for my hus­band” and I did. There have been so many other con­tests I have entered and used the SPEC sys­tem and did not win. The con­tests are over. Some I was present at and some I entered On Line. I will not give up! I love your say­ings I affec­tion­ately refer to as Heleneisms. They always hit the nail on the head. There is a qual­ity to the whole SPEC process which I am try­ing to under­stand. It has some­thing to do with trust, inno­cence, cer­tainty and it has a sur­real qual­ity. Its a know­ing­ness which only trans­lates once you expe­ri­ence it. I think there is too much focus on wish­ing and want­ing. Emo­tional attach­ment seems to derail the train or send it back to where it started from.

You are for­ever in my thoughts which is nice — not sure yet why that is.

I have had some trust issues to work through but I know I am on my way back to my mag­i­cal know­ing­ness. I am a long time Silva stu­dent and just love what you do.
